Concept 1: Flower Heart with Rose Red fabric
The idea is the one of creating a flower bud playing with the sofas “Victoria and
Albert”, designed by Ron Arad. The sofas appear to become petals and with Nuala’s
fabric, in red chromatics, the back’s movement is exalted, the result is an intimate and novel environment.

Concept 2: Want to play ping pong with me? With Rose Red fabric
The “Victoria and Albert” sofa, designed by Ron Arad, in its giant size version,
habillé with Nuala’s “Rose Red” fabric, in bright red shades and Ron’s portrait create a very suggestive pictorial situation. What does ping-pong have to do with this? Ron during the photographic session held in order to make his portrait asked Nuala if she wanted to play ping-pong with him.

Concept 3: C…o che bel ritratto! With Faded Bouquet fabric
Here Moroso’s “Lowseat” use a fabric where the background’s and the flower’s
shade changes in order to crate a chromatic development that goes from rose and red tonalities up to a grey scale; the coloured flock pictorially used gives movement and volume to the entire seat.
This environment-situation allows us to contemplate Ettore Sottsass’ portrait,
charismatic figure of Italian design. Ettore’s portrait, facing the “Lowseat”, is on a
wall decorated by Nuala with floral themes that recall the basic design.
The expression used in the concept’s title is the sincere comment that Ettore made
looking at his portrait for the first time.
The “Faded Bouquet” carpet completes this environment recalling the motifs of the
basic graphic design.

Concept 4: Good to meet you
A wall dedicated to nine portraits of architects and designers that have gone through history in Italian design. Nuala has photographed them in order to portrait them trying to capture the moment and expression that characterizes them most.
They were looking at Nuala, now they are looking at you.

Concept 5: “Fadó fadó” (Once upon a time) with Rose Red fabric
The sofa “Victoria and Albert” is the protagonist of this essential environment. Fadó
fadó in Irish means “Once upon a time”. And this is Nuala’s story.

Concept 6: “Spring” with Fair Daffodils fabric
The idea of the flower is proposed once again playing with the shades of yellow,
orange and cream. The “Victoria and Albert” armchairs seam to become petals
that surround and embrace an extraordinary dress posed at its centre. It is spring’s
celebration rendered by Nuala’s art.

Concept 7: “Spiral Garden” with Vertical Garden fabric
The Vertical Garden is Nuala’s contemporary poetic answer to the vision of a garden.
The garden is painted as if it were a cascade of Nature with herbs and little coloured
flowers. This environment develops itself as a mandala and proposes a spiral itinerary to the viewer. Different seats by Moroso alternate and are linked one to the other through the “Vertical Garden” design which never interrupts. The spiral itinerary leads the viewer to its energetic centre.

Concept 8: “The Three Graces”
Three “Berlin Chairs” are covered by Nuala’s pictorial art, which hand finishes every
work. The idea is the one of a “great ball” in a flourished garden where freshness and lightness are protagonists of the fabric transformed in a real chair’s dress. The three “Berlin Chairs” become artworks where volume and the movement of the Moroso’s seat turns into a woman’s body.

Concept 9: In the room the women come and go…”
As in a dream three dummies dressed with grace, energy and colour, given by Nuala’s flourished fabrics, appear. A large-sized panel presents gigantic flowers hand painted by the artist, the pistils are little lights that give a touch of true magic to the environment.

Concept 10: “Stepping out”
The Vertical Garden is Nuala’s contemporary and poetic answer to the vision of a
garden. The garden is painted as if it were a cascade of Nature with herbs and little
coloured flowers. The protagonist of the concept is a tapestry-carpet with the “Vertical Garden” that continues with a Fjord pouf indicating the itinerary that must be followed.

Concept 11: “Kika’s Corner”?
This environment is dedicated to the world of children and in particular to Kika,
Nuala’s daughter. This corner presents Kika’s very sweet portrait, a dress and a pair
of felt boots.
