FORTUNY: THE ARTIST’S EYE - Panoramas, portraits and other visions

Project

Mariano Fortuny’s atelier is once more opening for the public, with an exhibition which covers not only the period in which the artist lived but also the very special way Fortuny saw the city of Venice when he first moved here, in the early years of the twentieth century. The over one hundred photographs include some sixty extraordinary panoramic views, together with interior shots and portraits (with the same subject being both painted and photographed). Alongside these there are clothes, fabrics and the material Fortuny collected during his travels.
